Indian Star opened in Moonee Ponds in 1984. We have stayed put since. The kitchen is run by the same family that started it, and most of the recipes haven't moved either. What changes is the seasonality and the quality of what we put on the plate.
The dining room is a neighbourhood favourite for weeknight dinners, anniversaries, and the kind of celebrations that need ten chairs and a long table. Whatever the occasion, the food is the point.
